| You can find this recipe on a lot of different blogs out there, when I first saw the idea I knew I had to make some for Hudson. He loves it! All you do is mix 1 cup of water with 1 cup of cornstarch. Then pour it into muffin tins or small cups. Next, add food coloring to make the colors you would like. I used food coloring gels and it made some very bright and vibrant colors! I found my recipe here at Smashed Peas and Carrots. |

| This was Hudson when we started...I should have taken an after picture. By the end he was down to his undies and covered in chalk! He had more fun painting himself then the sidewalk. |

ReplyDeleteNo it shouldn't stain, my son got some on his skin and I just put him in the bath after he was done and it washed right off.
Does the color wash off the sidewalk easily(as in, with rain)? or does it need to be scrubbed off?

ReplyDeleteYes, it will wash off the sidewalk. Just make sure to only use a small amount of food coloring.
DeleteI believe it will wash off easily. I did this today with my son and it started flaking off easily, so I assume washing it away will be easy as well. As for staining, I haven't washed his clothes yet. The wilton gel colors are much more concentrated, so if one is going to stain, they are more likely (I decorate cakes and have stained a few things).

We made this up yesterday and played with it for at least an hour. My six year old threw a fit cause she didn't want to wear old clothes - so she missed most of it. Still it was fun & I'm praying and hoping it comes off the driveway and doesn't stain it!!! LOL
