Pecan Pie

You can't have Thanksgiving without some pecan pie, as least not in my family. We always make pumpkin pie too, but here's the recipe my family uses for pecan pie.

  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup karo syrup, 1/2 light and 1/2 dark
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup whole pecans
Preheat oven to 375 degree. Mix all of the ingredients together in a large bowl. Pour into pie crust. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes.
