Cocktails and Cupcakes Bridal Shower

 Here is my beautiful sister Wesley!

She is getting married in about one month and I am so excited for her and Kyle. We had a lot of fun celebrating her the other night and I wanted to share some of the pictures. The pictures were taken by Andrea of Limeflower Studio. Thanks so much Andrea for capturing the night for us!

The Bridal Shower was an evening shower, for cocktails, cupcakes, and other desserts. All the girls came dressed in their best and looked awesome!

We played the toilet paper wedding dress game. You divide into groups of about 4-5 girls and each group is given about 3 rolls of toilet paper to make a wedding dress. Each group must pick one girl in the group to model the dress. Everyone got pretty creative and had a lot of fun with it!

The Bride-to-be gets to choose the winner. 

 The other game we played was the Bridal Shower Trivia Game. I video taped Kyle (the Groom) answering 13 questions about Wesley (the Bride). Then at the shower you give the guests the questions to try to answer. Once everyone is done filling out their answers you play the video, but have the bride answer the questions before playing the grooms answer. It was another fun game that got lots of laughs! Whoever answers the most questions correctly wins a prize.

Then we all had fun being silly for pictures in the photo booth area I had set up. I bought teal wrapping paper and taped it to the wall.

 It was a great night, and loved celebrating my little sister... Next up Bachelorette Party!!!

Teal Sprinkle Rimmed Glasses

We celebrated my sister last night at her Bridal Shower, and we had a lot of fun! Our friend Andrea from Lime Flower Studio took lots of pictures of the evening, and I can't wait to share them! These were the only pictures I took yesterday and thought I would share them. My sister's wedding colors are teal and silver, so I rimmed some glasses in teal sprinkles for a mudslide punch! I also rimmed some others in silver sanding sugar for the Coconut Mojitos. My sister-in-law made the mudslide punch and I plan to share the recipe soon. They were really yummy!

 

Just two simple steps to make these:

Step one: Dip the rim of the glass in melted white chocolate almond bark.

Step two: Dip the white chocolate into the sprinkles until covered.

The teal sprinkles are from Sweet Estelle's Etsy Shop and the grey striped paper straws are from my Etsy shop here. I would love to have an assortment of sprinkles in my shop, so fun! And these were the perfect color for the shower!

Pumpkin Party

We took Hudson to a pumpkin party today to paint pumpkins and he had such a great time. He didn't understand that the paint was for just the pumpkin and insisted on painting his face as well. I love all the creative party ideas that you can do for Halloween. My friend Lisa and her Mom hosted this party and I had to show some of the cute pictures from today! The cupcakes were really adorable and the sandwiches were in shapes of pumpkins and bats. They also had an orange punch with gummy worms in it. Everything was really cute!

Gender Reveal Party

The first time I read about the idea of having a party to reveal your baby's gender, I knew I wanted to do it the next time I was pregnant. I think it's a great reason to gather you family and friends together to celebrate together! I have been loving the colors grey and yellow together so I decided to use those colors to decorate the party. We had the party in the evening and served desserts and drinks. I made a small cake that revealed that we are having another little boy! We had all of the guests gather around when we cut the cake and I had filled it with layers of lemon mousse with blueberries and a layer of whipped cream filling that I colored blue. It was a fun way to announce the news! I also made a chalk board for people to vote either boy or girl before we cut the cake. After the cake was cut we had everyone write name ideas on the chalk board.

Hudson's Robot Party

I have posted a lot of robot party ideas in preparation for Hudson's Birthday Party. Now here are pictures from the actual party. Everything turned out great, I think all the kids had a good time. We had a lot for them to do. I made homemade play dough and put star shaped confetti and star cookie cutters on the table with it. I also had a table with foam shaped stickers, crayons, markers, and card stock for the kids to color and make robots with the shapes. I painted and cut holes in boxes to make robot bodies for the kids and adults to dress up in. Then taped polka dot wrapping paper on the wall for pictures to be taken in front of. We had a rocket tent out back for the kids, a water table, fun music, and other toys. The party bags had glow sticks, a small tin of "nuts and bolts", a wind up robot, robot tattoos, and stretchy robots.  It was a fun day!
